John F. Kennedy's book Profiles In Courage discusses the courage and morals of men who stood up for their country and did what was best for it. It covers such politicians as John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster, Sam Houston, Thomas Hart Benton, and others. I found this book to be very interesting. I found out a lot about many politicians that i did not know beforehand. John F. Kennedy provides great insight to the lives of these men. He tells stories that otherwise may have gone untold about men standing up for what is right, but may not be popular. These men had the best interests of their country in mind and did not care what anyone else thought. They may not have been popular in their respective times, but looking back these men may have made decisions that really helped the country as a whole.
